I have just dealt with a call from a lady client who had run up a large liability to the Inland Revenue. She accepts that she owes the money to the Crown, but she sinply does not have the income be able to settle it. She has asked the Revnue for time to pay and thye have been good enough to allow her a year. That will not be enough time. She cannot find over £3,000 a month out of her income to settle this debt. So there will be a stalemate. What can be done.
We actually quite a lot. The lady also has credit card debt, and so because of this she can propose an IVA. This will result in her settling her debts over 60 months and not twelve and is much more manageable.
If you have a Corwn liability that you cannot pay in 12 months, then give us a call and we will be able to help.

We received a call into our Help With Debt call centre a few weeks ago. The caller was in a panic as he had a trading website which was getting enquiries which he now couldn’t handle.
The company was insolvent and couldn’t fulfill orders that it had taken deposits and payments for.
It happens all the time.
Here we were able to suspend the site and speak to all the creditors affected but the payment of advance deposits. They had all paid by credit card and so we were able to help them get their money back from the card companies.
We we able to sell the web traffic to another supplier of similar product.
The company called a meeting of creditors and three weeks later it was closed down.
The Director was able to spot early that he had a problem and took decisive action to stop his losses growing and thereby avoided a wronful trading situation.

I have a number of tricky cases on at present, where a company director, needs to close down his limited company, and actually wants to start again, on the same site, with the same business. That is not an issue. We will probably do a liquidation with a phoenix sale.
That is all very simple and it makes sense. The problem we are now experiencing more and more are that the affaisr of the company directors are almost as bad a those of the companies they are directors of. In many cases now with directors having given personal guarantees for company borrowing and used credit cards and personal loans to prop up the business, we are having to also put together IVA’s to sit alongside the new company.
If you are a company director with a large personal debt problem, both actual and contingent and you are worried what you can do about it, take heart that there is a solution, and that we will have helped people in far worse solutions than you.

I have just had a call from a client, who has thanked me for the cheque that they had just received from their credit card company in respect of PPI which had been taken from the card going back anumber of years. There was no eveidence that the Payment Protection Insurance was requested or beneficial. If course the credit card company fought tooth and nail before making the payment, but all parties new that payment was inevitable, together with interest.
For the client it was a excerise without risk as there would have been no charge from us had they failed to recover anything, and any fees were payable out of monies received. This is called no win no fee.
As a result of this, the client will be off to tell all his mates not to sit back and do nothing about PPI.
So, if like my client you have PPI on a loan or credit card, and you think that you may have been mis-sold it, give me a call and in as little as eight weeks, you could be picking a cheque up off your hall floor.

The new website that we have constructed is up and running as we speak, it has taken a lot of work, and of course like any project it has has it’s teething issues. I will be posting fresh content on the site everyday, to broaden its appeal and make it a valuable tool for helping those in debt. Sometimes for followers of this blog I will post articles which I post there but which you may well miss.
